China Mobile: Time for the big push!
China Mobile chairman Wang Jianzhou is doing the rounds in Taiwan and on a bit of a PR blitz at the same time. He’s spelling out the amount of cash they plan on spending on mobile products over the next 3 years ($17.5 billion) and the fact that China Mobile hope to roll out 100 more phones before the year is over, and oh.. yah… they see a big future in eBooks. China Mobile uses a home grown TD-SCDMA network so apparently their aren’t enough compelling 3G enabled phone choices for their customers to get all worked up about 3G services. So lets get 100 more of those out on the retail shelves quickly seems to be the plan. Read on.
